Dear teachers, are you interested in holding online international exchanges with students in Japan? Or looking for innovative ways to practice your students’ English?
In the break out rooms, students have 1-on-1 conversations or small group conversations so that everyone is encouraged to make an effort to speak in English. Each IntEx class is approximately 30-50 minutes.
We use online platforms to connect and usually start with greetings from both teachers.
Then we prepare icebreakers to help students relax and ease into an all-English environment before students are divided into several breakout rooms.
To facilitate the online international exchange class, we encourage students to prepare questions to ask each other. We have lists of preset questions or activities that teachers can distribute to their students.
